Summer, Sleepy Summer

Nothing too bad or too good has happened the past few days, so I guess that's average (as in MLIA, ha ha).

I convinced Wen to join TKD today. That was great. She even got to stay for weapon's class after it was apparent that she had previous martial arts experience (go Amherst College Karate!). Now all is left is to convince Steven and all of my other friends to join, or at least try out the free trial class.

In weapon's class I did the rest of tournament bo, though I don't remember at all the steps I went through today. The big swing in the form is getting easier by the day, thanks to lots of practice with the spinning around Home Depot the other day. David was looking for wood to use for the medal display case, then, so I had nothing better to do but to practice the footwork. Turns out that time was well spent, even if I did end up getting nauseous from too much spinning. ;)

One of the things David and I worked on yesterday was getting more power into my basics, as well as fixing a number of mistakes that I had no clue I was making. It's a good thing he keeps saying that these are things I should be working on "as I move through the ranks" because it is keeping me grounded in terms of not driving myself nuts. I do still drive myself nuts anyways.
